Gettin' the List Ready!!!

Do you have your list ready? No, not your shopping list, your reading list for the Summer!!! I will admit, I made my list tonight. I went to search on the Mid-Continent page to get some new titles to add to the others I already had, but the Mid-Continent Catalog is down right now for maintenance. So, I went to Amazon.com and typed in a keyword. It brought up LOTS of fictional titles that look good for me to read!!! Of course, I didn't buy any! I just wrote them down, and will reserve them at the library on Tuesday. (It's closed for Memorial Day on Monday.) I love the Mid-Continent site, because you can reserve books from the comfort of your own home! *grin* I just love Summer!

So, here's my initial list that I had:
1. Flawed Dogs
2. So. Be. It.
3. Deep Down Popular by Phoebe Stone
4. Jump The Cracks by Stacy DeKeyser
5. The Mysterious Case Of The AllBright Academy
6. Stolen Children
7. Schooled by Gordan Korman
8. The Kid In The Red Jacket
9. Shark Girl
10. Flashcards Of My Life By Charise Mericle Harper
11. Snakehead
12. Benjamin Pratt And The Keepers Of The School by Andrew Clements
13. IQ Book 2, by Roland Smith
14. Mumsket by D. Ed. Hoggatt
15. Crumbling Spirit by D. Ed. Hoggatt

I've already read Jump the Cracks and the Benjamin Pratt book!

One day I was walking through our library at S.V.E. and I wrote down these titles:

Friendship According to Humphrey by Betty G. Birney
If a Tree Falls at Lunch Period by Gennifer Choldenko
The Seventh Level by Feldman

I want to read those books too!

Tonight I typed in "Autism" because I LOVE to read ficitional stories about kids with Autism, and I wrote down titles from the Mid-Continent Site. There are more books than I thought on the subject! I encourage you to do that! Let's say you like baseball stories. You can type in "baseball stories, fiction", and you'll be amazed at what comes up!

I'm not going to post all the titles that Autism gave me because I don't know if they're written for kids or adults. As I read through them, if they're good for kids, I PROMISE I will share the reviews.

You might be wondering what I have been reading. I haven't posted a book review in a really long time. I have been reading fictional books on Autism, and they are books for adults so I can't post the reviews, but I will say I have been enjoying the books!

The other day, I started Storm Runners by Roland Smith. I wasn't sure if I would like it, because of the tornado in Joplin, but so far I am enjoying it. It will be a fast read, so I'm sure a book review will be up soon.

Also, I have two books listed by D. Ed. Hoggatt, who is actually a friend of mine, so I can't wait to read those! There will be a review of those books for sure! Those books are only available on amazon.com, but if some of my Loyal Readers want to borrow my copy after I read it, I will send it to ya if you promise to send it back or give it back to me when school starts in August!

So, as you can see, I have quite a list! I hope you have a list too! Let me know what you're reading, or books you recommend and I will post it here on the site!!!

HAPPY READING!

*grin*
