Today I would like to share about one of my favorite books from last year. I read the book, Among the Hidden, by Margaret Peterson Haddix. It is the first book in a seven-book-series. It is about a boy named Luke who is born at a time when it is illegal to have three children in each family. The law in this time period states that each family can only have two children. A child that is born third in a family is to be put to death, if they are found by the police. Luke has lived twelve years in his house, hidden in an attic, by his parents so that he can stay alive. But when Luke starts looking out his windows in the attic, he questions if he is the only Third Child.
I don't want to give away the ending, as I would HIGHLY recommend this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat, not wanting to put the book down. I went on to read all seven books in the series and REALLY enjoyed it! I give it five out of five stars!
*Sidenote: The stars just share with the readers of the blog how much you liked it. One star would be that you didn't like it very much at all. Two stars would mean that you thought it was okay. Three stars means that it was pretty good. Four stars means that it was really good. And five stars means it would be one of your FAVORITE books.
Go ahead, write a review!
I know you've read some great books!
