Two Book Reviews And One Comment

Tonight I have TWO book reviews to post! It is SO EXCITING to have some book reviews for the Loyal Readers of the Blog. While it is still my hope that there will be reviews written by YOU, I thought tonight I would share about two books I read recently that you might like to read.

SLOB ****
We had our Book Fair not too long ago, and I bought the book "SLOB" by Ellen Potter. It is about an eleven-year-old boy named Owen who is the fattest boy in his school. Owen is bullied, which is dear to my heart because I was bullied as a kid because I walk different. The story is about Owen and his adventures in his life. I don't want to share too much, but I will say that I recommend it for everyone! I give it four out of five stars. It is really good, but it would not make my top ten list of favorite books of all-time. I also went to the Ellen Potter site, and it looks really good, so I am adding it to our Author Websites Gadget.

Benjamin Pratt & The Keepers Of The School ****
On Tuesday of this week I checked out Andrew Clement's Latest book, "Benjamin Pratt & The Keepers Of The School." It is the first book in a new series written by Mr. Clements. I have been a fan of Andrew Clements books ever since I read "Frindle." His latest book features Benjamin as the main character, who has a new adventure dropped in his lap as he is entrusted to save the school from the company that wants to build an amusement park where his school is currently located. With the help of his friend Jill, the adventure unfolds with many twists and turns. I really enjoyed the book, and also give it four stars. Once again, it is really good, but not good enough for my "top ten" list. You will find that a book has to be REALLY good to get five stars from me! *grin*

Aubrey was the only one to comment again today. I didn't expect many comments since everyone is on break right now. Anyway, Aubrey, I am glad you're thankful for this blog. I will admit that when I read your comment it made me smile. After I smiled, my next thought was, "Yeah, I'm thankful for it too!" Thanks for writing! *grin*

Well, I want to get back to my latest book, "Jump The Cracks." I will hopefully post a review of it soon, as it is TOUGH to put down!

Have a GREAT Saturday! Enjoy what's left of our break!

*grin*
