Tonight I had the privilege of going to L.S.H.S. to attend the Reflections Awards Ceremony. I will admit, I had heard Mrs. Wadel was involved in the "Reflections" Program but I had no idea what it was or meant. Tonight, I entered the High School and got to see some AMAZING work completed by students throughout the Lee's Summit School District. We have some INCREDIBLE talent here, and I enjoyed seeing all of the finished products on display. This year's theme was recycling, and there were pictures, poems, stories, and songs written to encourage everyone to recycle.
After looking at the displays, I went in to the auditorium where the students were honored for their hard work. The students at the ceremony tonight will have their work sent on to State Competition. They will find out in March or April if they won at the State Level. If they do win at the State Level, they will go on to the National Competition. I think that is SO exciting!
I would name all the students who participated, (First names only, of course) but the programs were limited and I didn't get one. However, it was so wonderful to see S.V.E. students receive awards and see the things that they created that had to do with the theme, recycling! Way to to S.V.E. Students!
Congratulations to all of our recipients!
*grin*
