This morning I awoke at about 6:20 to my phone ringing. I guess I was in such a deep sleep that I answered it and couldn't believe what I was hearing! I day off from school? What? I wondered if it was just a dream. I looked out my window, and then at Jay the dog. The roads APPEARED fine. Hum. I turned on the TV, and sure enough they had school closings rolling on the bottom of the screen.
I had two thoughts at that point. First, I was initially bummed because I have DRA's to give some of my favorite little people this week, and this wouldn't help me get them done. (Believe it or not, teachers have deadlines for work, just like students!) And then my second thought was, "I get to be with Jay today!"
Then I went back to sleep.
I have enjoyed the day, and even got some other schoolwork done. Jay has enjoyed it, since we have cuddled most of the day while we have watched TV. It's been nice.

We still have this evening to go, and I have a dog staring at me. I guess it's time to cuddle with the pup!
