Tonight I have posted three new stories submitted by SIXTH graders. I encourage you to scroll down and read the stories. They were written by some good writers. I am sure that you will enjoy the stories as much as I did!
I appreciate everyone's patience lately as I haven't posted as often as I was a few weeks ago. That's how life is though. Sometimes you have plenty of time to type, and other days there is barely time to play with the furry kid! Weird, huh?
Anywho, with grade cards done and the weekend upon us, I feel quite a bit more relaxed tonight. Oh sure, I have more homework to do this weekend, but we're now in the last quarter. Before we know it, we'll be swimming in the pool and missing school! (Okay, stop laughing!)
I was thinking tonight about how good life is for us at S.V.E. We have so many good teachers, librarians, aides, cooks, custodians, secretaries, and AN AWESOME PRINCIPAL!!! Mrs. Trigg has done a tremendous job with us the past few weeks! Something that's so easy to do is start to take people for granted. There are SO MANY GOOD PEOPLE at S.V.E. who are there to help reach your goals in life. I hope you will take a moment and think about how the people at S.V.E. have helped you, and perhaps you can say "Thanks" to them next week when you come to school.
Something I do (And I'm about to share a secret, but that's okay.) on Mondays is I take a minute and I write out a card for someone who has helped me. Sometimes it's someone that I work with everyday, and sometimes it's my principal from years ago that has helped me become the person I am today. I encourage you to think about doing something like that. I got the idea from a radio station I listen to that calls it "Make-A-Difference-Monday". For me it's cards, for you it may just be saying, "Thanks." For everyone it's something different.
Life is good. And it's good to let others around you know it too.
*grin*
LIFE.
IS.
GREAT.
