MISTAKES ARE OKAY! *grin*

I moved to Lee's Summit from Joplin two years ago. I taught at a school in Joplin for ten years. I LOVED it! It was home to me.

While I was at that school there was a lesson that I taught my students that became a very important phrase to me. I taught them that EVERYONE makes mistakes, and mistakes are OKAY AS LONG AS YOU LEARN FROM THEM. After that lesson, when I would make a mistake, I would sometimes say "Mistakes" and the students would reply "are okay!" In fact, we would even say it when a student would make it a mistake, and then our day would go on. I REFUSED to let those students let a little setback ruin their day. Everyone makes mistakes, and that's OKAY!

Are you wondering why I'm sharing this story with you tonight? Well....I made a small mistake.

I told you that I'd post Seth's story tonight, and I LEFT IT AT SCHOOL! :-( I was so bummed when I got home and realized I forgot it! I am going to make a point to remember it tomorrow.

See, mistakes are okay, right?
