Reader's Bill of Rights

While I have SEVERAL comments tonight that I could write about, it is Mrs. Schneider who earns the post for tonight. When I got to school this morning, she had emailed me the Reader's Bill of Rights. I thought it was really good, so I am going to post it now, and will respond to comments tomorrow, since we have the day off school, (Go ahead, fight the tears, I know you're crying, it's okay. *grin*) I will have PLENTY of time to respond to EVERYONE'S comments. (Connor, Aubrey, and Jake, thanks for the comments!)

Reader's Bill of Rights
1. The right not to read.
2. The right to skip pages.
3. The right not to finish.
4. The right to reread.
5. The right to read anything.
6. The right to escapism.
7. The right to read anywhere.
8. The right to browse.
9. The right to read out loud.
10. The right not to defend your taste.

~ from Better Than Life by Daniel Pennac

While I could probably add to the list, I won't. I think it's a great place to start, though! Thanks Mrs. Schneider for the submission to the blog! Stay tuned tomorrow for my comments on the comments!

Enjoy your WONDERFUL Wednesday without school! *grin*

Happy Reading!
