Book Review Time!!!

Tonight I have two books to review. You might say I've been BUSY reading. *grin*

Big Nate Strikes Again *****
Once again, Big Nate Earns FIVE stars from me! This book was INCREDIBLE! It had me laughing the whole way through, and made me want to read MORE Big Nate books! I HIGHLY recommend this book to kids of all ages! I will admit, I did like the first book better but this one is still worthy of FIVE STARS! *grin*

Ghost of Spirit Bear ***
I have looked forward to the sequel to Touching Spirit Bear for a few years. In my previous school, Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen is one of the most popular books in fourth grade! I remember reading it and being captivated by it. I couldn't put it down! I'll be honest, I was expecting that with the sequel, but that wasn't the case.

The sequel, Ghost of Spirit Bear, picks up with Cole being back in the real world, full of bullies and pain. I was initially intrigued, but lost interest in the middle because the adults kept telling Cole that he would figure things out, while he was steal being hurt by his bullies physically. None of the adults stuck up for him, which bothered me. I guess that was supposed to keep me reading the story. In the end, it had a good ending. It took me a long time to get through it, as I read Big Nate in the middle of book, because I almost abandoned Ghost of Spirit Bear. It earned 3 stars from me. It was okay, but not one I feel I would recommend for EVERYONE.

That's it, my two reviews for tonight. I can't believe the weekend is over! 6.5 school days left until break. Not that I'm counting or anything...
