Finding The Right Book For You!

Today I loaned a book to one of our loyal readers. I love to loan books out, as I love to share the great stories that I love with those around me! And, I would love to share more books, or even just book titles with people on here, so that everyone can find a book that is made just for them!

I recognize though that I may loan a book to you that isn't something you will like. And, I wanted to let all the readers out there know that that is okay. It will never hurt my feelings, (Nor should it ever hurt your feelings if you loan a book to a friend and your friend doesn't like it.) if someone comes back to me and says, "I tried it, but it wasn't my kind of book." That's okay! I have had that happen several times over the years and it's ALWAYS been okay.

It's sort of like the Rick Riordan books. I have tried to like it, it just isn't my thing. Meanwhile, Mrs. Schneider loves those books! That's GREAT! I imagine there are a lot of books that I like that she wouldn't like! And that is okay!

There is always a good book out there waiting just for you!

So, as we continue on this journey of Fallin' Into Reading Together, it's okay if I loan you a book (Or anyone loans you a book) and you don't like it. OR you borrow a book from someone and it's just not your thing. That's okay.

At the same time, you never know when someone gives you a book, and you LOVE IT! Each year for Christmas my brother gives me a new book. He teaches at a middle school, and he always hears about books that I don't just because I teach in an elementary school. So, each year he gives me a book and says, "It may not be your thing, but..." and you know what? EVERY book he's given me, I HAVE LOVED! Last year he gave me The Hunger Games! So, you never know when you'll find a book that you will love, so it's ALWAYS fun to share books with others and read other people's recommendations.

As a friend of mine said once, "Don't worry about running out of good books. They'll make more."
