Lazy Saturdays

Do you enjoy your Saturdays? If so, what do you do? My favorite thing that I did today was cuddle with Jay, my dog. We slept in late and relaxed before we started our day. We also went for a walk this afternoon, which was a lot of fun. Due to all the snow and ice we've had for about a month, our sidewalks have not been conducive to letting people walk without falling down, so we haven't been out much lately. Today Jay LOVED the walk. We also walked last night, but today was better because more of the snow and ice had melted off the sidewalks. It was GREAT.

I heard that we have more snow headed our way. I guess that's not surprising. I mean, we live in Missouri where snow is known to fall quite a bit. I READ that it's not supposed to start until Sunday Night, and it got me to thinking...do you realize how much you read in a day even if you don't read a book? I got to thinking about it and today I read street signs, the weather report, the Big Nate Daily Comic Strip online, and email. Isn't that amazing? It made me realize how much we're actually reading every day. Isn't that cool?

I noticed that our poll expired and the most popular thing to do on a Snow Day is read! I thought that was GREAT! I think it's time for a new question. I know, the new question will be, "What do you like to do with your pet?" I wonder what response will win.

For now, I think I'll go finish reading The Leanin' Dog.
