THE MAZE RUNNER *****

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I wanted for my first post of the new year to be a book recommendation. This past week I finished reading THE MAZE RUNNER by James Dashner. This book is written primarily for teens, so I recommend it for sixth graders. Many of you have read THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins, and this book reminded me of it A LOT! The reason it reminded me of it is because the Gladers are stuck in a world of a Maze, where it is a life-and-death situation. The main character, Thomas, leads us through an adventure in a world of its own. Each chapter ended with a cliffhanger that made me want to keep reading RIGHT AWAY. This book was VERY hard to put down! I loved it! I went ahead and bought the sequel, THE SCORCH TRIALS. It's HUGE that I bought the book because I typically use my library card to check out books but I couldn't wait to read the sequel. From what I could read online, it is going to be a trilogy. I'M SO EXCITED! I love book series!

So, if you like adventure, interesting characters, and mystery, I HIGHLY recommend this book series!

I will add it to our sidebar here on the blog as well!

HAPPY READING! MAY 2011 BE THE YEAR YOU LOVE TO READ!
